Having gone through alot off free online multiplayers i have come to the conclusion that Unififcation Wars is the best ammong them
you start of as a terren colony, pitifull week and defencless.
you expand your empire through peacefull, agressive or just plain evil methods. pilaging other empires and getting pilaged as you go along
While the game itself is free you can donate to recive extra bonuses *these do not make you gods, more like a demi-god * such bonues are 3 extra playable races (as well as the 3 non paid races) and a few exta bits.
The game is texed based and so not franticly exiting however it is fun and because of chat room, federations and such you get to know alot of the ppl who pay (usualy 350 online at any time).
The game functuns by geting a turn every 8 second, this is the equivilent of a turn day, you can build up to 30 turns and spend them at you leisure. for those who dont have all day to play there are different time settings ( such as 1200 turns in 12 hours)

*tip* after you have signed up and done everything you should log on play for about 10 mins, log of then log back on. this lets you use the good grafics mode when you log back on........ happy hunting
